ROOTED: Grow Deep & Flourish with Speaker Coach Mi

Just in time for the Big Game …

For the 2023 kickoff of the ROOTED: Grow Deep & Flourish men’s ministry, we have invited a particularly appropriate speaker: Mike Swider, head football coach at Wheaton College from 1996 to 2019.

In his 24 seasons as head coach, Mike compiled a record of two hundred and nine wins and fifty-two losses. Wheaton appeared in the NCAA Division III playoffs 10 times. He led Wheaton to nine conference championships and was named Coach of the Year seven times.

Coach Swider built a program that is recognized as one of the best in Division III while influencing young men to give themselves to a cause greater than any one individual. He was an outstanding recruiter, motivator, and a coach who loved his players.

That’s why you can expect a life-changing challenge from Mike! We’ll also be enjoying delicious food and soul-satisfying fellowship. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect and grow!

Be sure to reserve the date: Thursday, February 9, at 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. And in

NCC: Sisters Together Care Packages for our Colleg

You’re invited to come as we enjoy food and fellowship, then prayerfully pack care packages for our college students, to let them know we love and support them!

We’ll then hear member, Elaine Garrett, share her testimony and some resources that have been a blessing to her in her faith journey.

A light breakfast buffet will be served as we chat and enjoy each other’s company. We hope to see you there!

Here’s how you can participate:
Look at our sign-up to see if you can provide some of the items that go into our boxes or items for the breakfast buffet.

ITEMS NEEDED

Collection bins will be stationed between the narthex and the back staircase beginning on February 5th and also during the week leading up February 11th. We ask, if possible, to get the care package items to us beforehand, but if that’s not possible feel free to bring items with you to the event.

This promises to be a wonderful time of joining hands and hearts to serve the body of Christ. Please come!

If you have questions, contact Angela Walters at office@newcovenantnaperville.org.
